After many enquiries from customers wanting to purchase their own wooden rails locally to personalise the airer, we can now meet this demand and can supply half kits, with big savings in cost. All the other parts are identical to the Laundry Maid Full Kits, with the same choice of colours for the cast iron parts. The only difference is the exclusion of the wooden rails.

The traditional cast iron pulley operated clothes airer is supplied ready to install, with full fitting instructions. The full kit includes pine rails to your chosen size, the half kit excludes the rails - the kits are otherwise identical, as shown right - click on the photograph for a detailed view.

• Cast iron parts; 2 rack ends in a traditional pattern. Overall length 15 ½" (392mm) with matching single and double pulleys and wall cleat. Available in black or white.
• Four lengths of pine rails (full kit only); are available in lengths of three (91.5cm), four (122cm), five (152.5cm) and six (183cm) feet. All the timber used in the manufacture of the Laundry Maid clothes airers is from well managed forests. The wooden rails used for the pulley operated clothes airers are rounded top and bottom and then sanded smooth by hand, before applying one coat of wood sealer. The rails are then given a final sanding.
  
  This process is essential not only to stop the clothes snagging on rough wooden rails, but also allows the wooden rails to be wiped down with a damp cloth. Without this sealing process, any moisture on untreated rails would allow finger marks and smudges to transfer from the rails onto the drying clothes.
